Assessments & Myofascial Trigger Therapy

Postural, Movement + Mobility Assessments

The M2H approach begins with detailed Movement and Mobility Assessments, to establish a baseline understanding of any muscular imbalances, range of motion restrictions, or compensatory movement patterns. Depending on your goals, these might include:

  • Static Postural Assessment to get a snapshot of your posture without movement, and identify muscles that may lack flexibility or need strengthening.
  • Overhead Squat Assessment, which gives an idea of your average range of motion, stability, and coordination.
  • Split Squat or Single-Leg Squat Assessments, to explore knee and pelvic stability.
  • Loaded or Dynamic Assessments, for more advanced movement analysis that’s geared towards performance-related fitness metrics.
Myofascial Trigger Therapy

Myofascial Trigger Therapy focuses on the neural and fascial systems in the body that can be negatively influenced by poor posture, repetitive motions, or dysfunctional movements. The body recognizes these stressors as injuries, which initiates a cycle of inflammation, muscle spasm, and soft tissue adhesions (“knots”) in the connective tissue (fascia) that surrounds your muscles.

Using a combination of techniques and tools—such as percussion guns, foam rollers, and foam balls—this therapy helps to break up tight spots, relieve soreness, and restore proper movement patterns. We will target areas of restriction identified in the Assesment phase, to enhance circulation, reduce pain, and support better overall performance and recovery.
